BugAura Labs ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at bugauralabs.studio. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep this simple because we are a small studio, not a data broker.

Short version: we only collect what you send us through the contact form and basic analytics data. We do not sell your data. Ever.

1. What we collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Contact form submissions, name, email address, product URL, budget range, timezone, and the scope of work you describe. You provide this voluntarily when you request a QA audit.
  • Analytics data, page views, session duration, referrer, and approximate country via Google Analytics (gtag). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

2. How we use your data

  • To respond to your QA audit request by email.
  • To send an NDA before any project begins, as stated on the site.
  • To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site (analytics only).

We do not use your data for marketing, remarketing, or advertising. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit consent.

3. Who we share your data with

We use the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

4. Cookies

The only cookies set on this site are from Google Analytics. These are analytics cookies that help us understand traffic patterns. They do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to use this site.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Contact form enquiries, retained in email for up to 2 years, then deleted, unless a project engagement begins in which case we retain it for the duration of the engagement plus 1 year.
  • Analytics data, retained by Google Analytics per their standard data retention settings (14 months by default).

6. Your rights (GDPR & general)

If you are based in the EU, UK, or anywhere that gives you data rights, you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to our processing of your data.

7. Data security

All data transmitted through this site uses HTTPS encryption. Contact form submissions are delivered via encrypted email. We do not store form data in any database, it goes directly to our inbox.

8. Children's privacy

This site is intended for business use only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
